Professional Background
Steve is a licensed architect in California and lead designer of Aprilli Design Studio. As principal in charge, he focuses on design development and project actualization through all phases of projects including architectural design and product design. Steve has deep interest in creating innovative objects, spaces and atmospheric conditions which aesthetically, psychologically and functionally enhance the quality of living environments.
Prior to founding Aprilli Design Studio, he has worked at architectural design firms such as Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, Koetter Kim Associates and RTKL Associates for about eight years as lead designer on international high rise, commercial and hospitality projects including Wuhan Optic Valley Business Center, Chengdu Hyatt Regency Hotel and Chongqing ITCC. His work has been published on international magazines and media extensively.
Steve has received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Yonsei University in 2002 and Master in Architecture degree from Yale University in 2007. Steve has been a design studio instructor at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2014.
